About Okidor
Keep track of why you invested, and know whether those reasons still hold.
The problem
You research a company properly, form a view, and buy. Eighteen months later the position is down and you are trying to remember whether the reason you bought is still true — or whether you are holding on to a story that quietly stopped being the case three quarters ago.
Almost nobody re-reads every filing. The reasoning that justified the position fades, and what is left is the position.
What we do about it
You write your thesis down: why you own it, what has to stay true, and what would make you sell. When the company files with the SEC or holds an earnings call, we evaluate that document specifically against your reasoning and tell you whether anything material moved.
Two investors holding the same stock for different reasons get different answers from the same filing. That is the point — the value is not summarising the filing, it is knowing whether it touches your argument.
Most filings do not, and we say so plainly. A tool that finds significance in every routine disclosure is noise.
What we deliberately are not
Not a screener, not a stock picker, not a signal service, not a news feed, not a broker. We assume you have already chosen the company. The AI's role is to challenge your reasoning and to check it against primary sources — never to decide for you. You remain the decision-maker.
Who it is for
Long-term investors who hold individual companies, know why they own each one, and do not have time to re-read every filing. If you are looking to be told what to buy, this is the wrong product.
Where it is up to
Okidor is pre-release and built in the open. If something is missing or broken, the ideas board is the fastest way to tell us — it is also where our own roadmap lives.
